Timberspecsoffer a selection of designs or a bespoke design service. Our architect will take your brief and after a full understanding of your lifestyle requirements will create a structure that answers all your needs - whether it's a family home, artist's studio, mobile home, office or clubhouse.

will make sure they will work within the building.

Timberspecswill specifiy requirements for foundations to be installed by the client. These will vary according to soil conditions. Full technical details with dimensions will be specified.
The customer is also responsible for supplying electricity, water and gas (as required) and having these utilities laid as an integral part of the foundations.
Cavity Wall Log system
The outer walls are constructed from prefabricated timber panels
with a choice of external claddings - half round (see image),
weatherboarding, shiplap boarding or tongue and groove.
The timber frame is constructed from 150mm timber studs set at
400mm centres, then clad from the above choice.
There is a choice of interior cladding such as round log, tongue and groove or plasterboard - or a mixture of all three! The panels are insulated with either mineral wool - Rockwool or Kingspan insulation panels and all incorporate a vapour barrier.
Solid Log Options
Timberspecsoffer a wide range of solid log options:
- 92mm laminated pine log (square)
- 200mm square log laminated
- 220mm solid pine log - square or round
- 250mm solid round log
All the above options have insulated roof and floor areas.
The round log options give a very traditional log-cabin look and still meet all current building regulations.
Handcrafted Random logs
Timberspecsutilise the random hand crafted log system on your
chalet, home or clubhouse for that rustic log-cabin look and feel.
Still meeting all current European and UK building regulations as
the "U" values of these logs far exceed requirements.
These are all constructed by our highly skilled craftsmen. Each building is pre-cut and constructed during manufacture, prior to shipping to the site.

All our buildings are designed and built to meet all requirements
for building regulations in the UK and all other EU countries.
Doors and Windows
Our doors and windows are handmade at our factory and are
fully double-glazed.
